So Long Pup, We Hardly Knew You
I would normally make a joke here about how Sandy's inability to spell "grammar" (as pointed out by Alex) was the straw that broke the camels back. Darned dog couldn't even use the spell-check correctly. But I'm not. Because I'm sad. I'll leave the explanation of why we brought Sandy back tot he JSPCA to Michelle, but the more important thing for you to know right now is that Sandy is no longer with us and that makes me sad.
All things considered she was a relatively well behaved puppy. She had that "I'm a puppy. Play with me!" appeal plus she enjoyed cuddling (or lying on top of us while being petted) which was particularly nice while we were watching TV.
I think there is a certain pureness about something that simply wants to play all of the time and I am attracted to that pureness. You can't say no to that kind of pureness. It's nice to have a friend who just wants to play all day. It's a little like being a little kid again.
She also reminded me how much I miss Shadow (my dog at home).
Even though it is for the best, and even though we only had her for a week, I still feel like my world is a little emptier right now.

I am sorry to hear about the puppy. I have been refreshing your bride's blog all day to understand what happened. Anya, Lauren, Charlie, and I all send our love.
