Part 2

Every good writer occasionally needs a kick in the pants. I am proof that bad writers need them to sometimes. Yesterday my mother told me that the reason she enjoys Michelle’s blog more than mine (and subsequently posts more comments) is because Michelle’s posts are more interesting and provide more insight into our lives in Jerusalem. Mine are just rants about things that bug me. Anyways, now that my dream for a utopian blogging/commenting site has died I guess I might as well just post.

Several weeks ago an anonymous commenter said “which Sox should I follow?” This is an issue that I must immediately address. Being from Boston I have a “modest” passion for all Boston sports teams, most notably the Red Sox baseball team. These are the Sox that we should all follow and support. And such you should also hate the New York Yankees, their rivals.

On that subject I present this story for your amusement:

With an impending wedding, Michelle and I have decided that we need to get into shape. No point getting married if you can’t look fabulous doing it right? To further this endeavor we recently went to a local sporting goods store to purchase some light dumbbells. Inside the store I found a stand with several rows of baseball hats. For some reason (probably a Yankee fan’s doing) Yankee hats were on display in the front of 6 of these rows. Being a good Red Sox fan I promptly covered each Yankee hat with one of a different team. Michelle thought I was crazy.
