Is Your High School on the List?

Because rankings are oh so chic, Newsweek has listed the top 1257 public high schools in the US. Sadly, although not shockingly, Canton is not on the list. Michelle's high school is listed at 520 though, further proving that i have married up :)

Check out if your high school is on the list here.

Scabby No More!

In response to Meg's comment, yes, it is a term of endearment. Now scab covered or scaly...I'm not so so sure. But in any case this question has now become academic as Michelle is no longer a scab because the strike has officially ended!

Ho Hum

Readers of this blog may ask themselves "why hasn't Adam posted in a almost three weeks?" I could list all sorts of silly explanations but let's just cut to the chase. I haven't posted because unlike my scabby wife, not so much is going on with me. So I'll just talk about TV.

Michelle and I like TV but unfortunately we've reached the time of year where TV shows go to sleep for the summer. We have a couple of shows remaining, but after this week we are pretty much out of new programming.

Throughout the year we have been following several series including Heroes, American Idol, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, and Studio 60 (until it was cancelled). However, our favorite TV show of the year was called Jericho. We loved the acting. We loved the writing. The show even made Michelle cry. More than anything, the show had a very "real" feeling to it. It was so good that CBS decided to cancel it after only one season.

You can read about the campaign to try to save Jericho here. Most fans are hoping that at the very least CBS will give some closure to the series after ending the season on a cliffhanger, but personally I'm still hoping that CBS comes to its senses and brings the show back.

I don't want a Jericho movie. I want another 7 years of quality television entertainment.

Happy Yesterday!

Several months ago I stumbled upon an musician named Jonathan Coulton. I think he is great (in fact he reminds me of Lex). In honor of Jonathan Coulton (and funny musicians everywhere) it is my pleasure to present: The first of May, by Jonathan Coulton.

**NOTE** This is not a family friendly song. Do not listen to this if you are friends with your family. Or if you do not want to hear explicit (although funny) lyrics.

Feel free to download longs - smiley face = free. I recommend "Ikea," "Chiron Beta Prime," and "Mandelbrot Set" among others.
